    ROAD TO CREEDE

southern Colorado in the San Juan Mountains

Creede is an historic mining town that almost died but has enjoyed a revival, thanks in large part to the Creede Repertory Theater.

The road to Creede is scenic. Flanked by cottonwood, pines, oaks, and other native trees, it follows the Rio Grande past Collier Wildlife Area. A railroad track accompanies it for much of its length.
